Jo-Fan Yu
Board MemberJoFan Yu is the Managing Director and CEO of the Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), where she leads strategic initiatives to advance Taiwan’s digital infrastructure, internet governance, and cybersecurity policy. With a legal career spanning the public, private, and tech sectors, she brings deep expertise in digital regulation, competition law, and public policy.
Prior to her current role, JoFan served as a prosecutor in New Taipei City, Kaohsiung, and at the Supreme Prosecutors Office. She later joined Google as the Public Policy Lead for Taiwan and Hong Kong, and was a partner at Baker McKenzie’s Taipei office, specializing in regulatory and technology law.
Her leadership extends across several advisory and supervisory roles, including as Supervisor at AmCham Taiwan and TWNIC, Expert to Taiwan’s National Development Council and Taipei City Government’s Data Protection Commission, and Chairwoman of the IP and Innovation Technology Commission at the Taipei Bar Association (2017–2020). She also serves as a Non-Government Agent to the International Competition Network (ICN) since 2014.
JoFan holds LL.M. degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Utrecht, and an LL.B. from National Taiwan University.
